hello my name is Katelyn Wallis Im a San Diego based artist currently in the process of obtaining my bachelors degree in Studio art . As a multi media artist I use unconventional and conventional sculpture materials in order to represent the meaning behind the piece. In my artwork I explore femininity, gender and the ways that society constricts gender expression through gender roles.

I believe that we all have a balance of feminine and masculine energy that interacts within us. The characteristics of these energies is something that I continue to explore in my work. As well as the complex experience of feminine presenting people in todays political climate. Both social norms around femininity and gender roles are two subjects that I am very interested in and continue to explore in both my 2d and 3d works.
